I have a feeling this is going to be a one way trip to the world of Mary Kornman fans. i like Shirley Jean. She isn't in the series long but she has adorable scenes!

I chose Darla. The 1936-1939 era is my favorite in the series.

Shirley was also in the Boyfriends short "Love Pains." She buys ice cream from David Rollins, the new guy who is stealing the girls from Mickey Daniels and Grady Sutton. I finally got IMDB corrected. They had her listed as a dancer in that film.

Hmmm, I don't know why I didn't notice this before, but Mary Ann Jackson isn't on the list. I probably would have voted for her if she was. She was certainly the funniest of the girls, and her acting was at least as good as Mary Kornman's. Of course, when you combine Mary Kornman's pretty face to her acting abilities, then it becomes a tight race.

You should see Mary Kornman's later film appearances. She lights up the screen. Even John Wayne fell for her in "Desert Trail."

I must agree with Zootmoney. When ever Mary Kornman comes on screen whether as a Rascal or as an adult it is as if sunshine just filled the room. Her acting was as natural as could be which put her way ahead of her time!

Yeah, I did'nt put Mary Ann there because she was more a tomboy than a love intrest. Just, you know, one of the guys.
