Good riddance. I hope.
Hopefully this obsessive fan got banned from IMDB and everywhere Our Gang related and gets blocked from registering. Seriously, that awful person really needs to see a shrink. It makes me wonder if this person has a severe form of autism and he just won't give up? Sounds more like addiction than fetish or obsession. It may well be an autistic Special Interest, obsession, fixation, call it what you will, but there are times and places for everything and he's choosing the wrong places and ways in which to expound his bizarre theories. The fact that he repeatedly backs up his ludicrous claims with entirely fictitious quotes from non existent books, imaginary script changes and highly suspect supposed connections to ancient Greek drama doesn't strike me as autistic behaviour. He definitely has a fetish (a sexually motivated interest) in the dress being ripped off. He has constructed complex imaginary scenarios in order to legitimise and justify his obsessive (fetish based) interest in that film and he's created god knows how many sock puppet accounts in order to add 'independent' support for his ludicrous claims. In itself the actual fetish is of no consequence, if he kept it to himself or shared it with like minded people (assuming that there are any). However his desire to constantly inform everyone else about it, and to attempt to justify it in such bizarre ways, is surely indicative of him having serious psychological problems. As a person on the high functioning end of the Autistic Spectrum, I'd say that at the very least, this fellow has either had very limited interaction with persons who would be considered "Normal" or Neurotypical, or is otherwise incapable of learning more appropriate behaviours and/or appropriate boundaries. That said, I will also comment that people with autism generally tend heavily toward obsessive honesty, which is obviously not the case with this obsessive fan's postings.

I agree pretty much word for word with you. It's the fabrication of fake 'evidence' in support of his bizarre theories which doesn't ring true with autism for me. I wouldn't say that everyone with autism is 100% totally honest all of the time, I know that I'm not. However I very rarely tell out and out lies, I much prefer to infer things and let people reach the wrong conclusions by themselves. I think for me the biggest problem with lying is that I can actually convince myself that it's true too. Maybe that's what the 'Dress' guy has done? Perhaps he's been spouting that rubbish for so long that he now actually believes it himself, even though nobody else does?

Not only is much of the info in the trivia section false, pointless, and OCD, it's also all poorly written. I don't know if I've ever seen so many spelling and grammatical errors on an IMDB page before. Be aware that this unfortunate soul also has tons of comments strewn across the various YouTube sites that have "Beginner's Luck" on them. Same MO: many different identities, but similar content across them all. And speaking of poorly written, I can't recall now whether it was on this forum or elsewhere that he gave the multiple identities bit away by writing each differently attributed post with no space between a period and the beginning of the next sentence (and yet a space between the end of a clause and the comma that followed it!). Leaving aside the question of how anyone who's ever read or written the English language gets the idea that this is how it's done, it also shows that the poor fellow just isn't very bright. Otherwise, he would have covered his tracks more effectively.

It was here.... *Beginner's Luck thread*He used the same bizarre writing style on IMDB too, again supposedly posted by numerous different users.

Sadly, it seems to be a common problem. On ODD SQUAD's Facebook page, some freak keeps posting begging for an episode where a female character turns into a giant. (It used to be Olympia but now it's Tiny Dancer, so at least he's obsessing over an adult now...)
There's also some whackjob on a YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION message board who keeps asking about what happened to the kids' clothes after they were slimed.
Maybe we can bring these folks together and they can form a club or something.

Yes, there always seems to be at least one in every group, sadly.
I'm sure you recall that person who wanted to start some Our Gang spanking role play. *shudders*

The Spanky's Mum guy did say that Beginner's Luck was 'in his top 5' Our Gang movies. So he obviously does have some other interests, although I shudder to think what they might be.

I say "I'm Tommy and I've been a bad boy. I need to be spanked." (Because obviously that's what real bad boys always say, isn't it?) You say, "Err, no thanks, just sit in the corner with a dunce cap on instead." End of role play game. That was fun wasn't it? But hardly something to get excited over.

Once saw an old Gay porn where some guy called a, I guess, professional sex worker who came over in what can only be called Ward Cleaver drag and gave him a sound paddling. You know they're experts when they make a point of alternating cheeks.
Anyway, yeah. There was a previous creep who pestered the ODD SQUAD cast on social media. He did apparently have some autism issues, though that hardly made it okay. Some of these kids were ten years old and while their parents were monitoring their sites, it was still pretty repugnant.

Deviancy is deviancy whether the perpetrator is autistic or not. Autism is a fact of life for some people but it isn't an excuse for anything. As part of Theory of Mind issues, often known as Black & White thinking, many autistic people have a very well developed sense of right and wrong. Things are either one thing or the other, there is no room for compromise. What you describe is simply wrong and anyone, whether autistic or not, should be able to recognise that.
