I noticed during reading older threads that one inactive member mentioned a couple of times that he had 'Aspergers' or that he was an 'Aspie.' Having obsessive/special interests in things, a desire to collect things and wanting to know everything that can be learned about a particular subject are all stereotypical autistic traits. It follows that autistic people/people with autism (whichever you prefer) would be drawn towards forums, and perhaps also social media groups, which focus on their own special area(s) of interest, such as for example Our Gang/The Little Rascals. So I've created this poll because I'm curious whether a single subject forum like this has a greater concentration of members who are on the spectrum than the average of incidence of autism in the general population. The poll is obviously anonymous but if you wish to make a post about autism, as it relates to special interests and collecting, feel free to do so.

As the creator of this thread any chance for anonymity would be lost if I cast the first vote in the poll, so I'll leave casting my vote until after a few other votes have been cast first.

Not a lot of responses so far. Oh well, maybe on some future day, when a big number of new members join this forum some of them will make a post in this thread. Then again, maybe not.

Did you cast a vote in the poll? I believe I did. Polls are fun.

Three definites and one maybe, from four votes so far. Come on the rest of you. It's not going to kill you cast a vote. You don't even need to make a post.
