I have serious doubts about just how authentic those things are. A couple of years ago you'd occasionally see one or two of the masks listed on eBay and they'd be in tatty, well worn condition. Recently they always seem to be complete sets, which look to be in almost new condition, with no wear, no little nicks or tears, even the staples that hold them together don't look rusty, which you'd expect them to be after 80 years. I suspect that someone has acquired a genuine one in really good condition and has cloned it. Some of the puzzles have been done in the one that is currently for sale but I could print one out today, do the puzzles immediately afterwards and that wouldn't make it genuine or be any proof of age. So for me, unless I knew for sure that it was a genuine one I wouldn't bid on it at all, not even if it were $10. You missed out on this listing, which was mentioned a while back in this forum. 5 x Our Gang Paper MasksPretty sure they're real. I can't see anyone selling Baby Patsy merchandise post-1937.

But Alfalfa, Spanky, Buckwheat & Darla are all still pretty popular, as is Porky to a less extent. Those things turn up far too frequently these days and they're always in virtually perfect condition. They're always listed for hefty prices too, which makes it worth duplicating them, for somebody... *Our Gang Morton Salt Masks*

In another thread Hard Boiled Harry wrote: Yeah some people might get confused with time. As kids they might have appeared in an Our Gang wannabe series and over time in their memories they start to believe they were in the real Gang. John F Bothwell was simply a liar. He knew for a fact that the kid in the photo wasn't him but he still claimed that it was.The same can also be said of lying 5hitbag Don Marlowe. If you want something to wipe your bum on, here's your chance. Click on the link below for more details of his blatantly fraudulent claim. *Dennis Morgan Don Marlowe's Vanities Cardboard Poster "Our Gang Comedies" 11x14"*
