I thought there was a calendar somewhere. I think it's better to find the numbers elsewhere, and use calendars as a last resort. A different instance of 18 is that was the number of votes Froggy and Mickey each got in the first two rounds of balloting in Election Daze. It's your game so you get to set any rules that you wish but to me a number 11 (for example) is the same number whether it's on a calendar, football shirt or clock. Differentiating between them seems arbitrary to me and it simply adds an additional hurdle to finding suitable numbers, many of which are not easy to find in the first place. It's too complicated for me so I'll duck out of this game.

The difference is that with a calendar page you get all the numbers from 1 to 30 or 31 in one shot, so using that would make this game not very interesting. That's why I said calendars are best used as a last resort, but that won't work past 31 anyway. Not every number shows up on a football uniform, so I find that preferable to calendars but inferior to other occurrences, like the 16-pound shot put. If no one comes up with a 25 in a few days I'll post one from Baby Brother.
Rules may have to be changed soon because the larger numbers are too scarce.

It's not from an Our Gang film but it is an Our Gang publicity photo, that I just found in the Favourite Photos thread. It not only contains a number 25 but also the missing number 22. I do take issues with her arithmetic though, she's marked some 'sums' correct when they are actually wrong.

I guess we can take publicity photos if there's nothing better. It looks like the check marks are for wrong answers, as the correct ones aren't marked, at least on the left board. Here's Farina doing math in Baby Brothers. Nasturtium's mother offered Farina 25 cents to look after the baby, and Farina envisioned increasing his fortune by selling Nasturtium to Joe.

Farina's 25 is a much better one. Fly My Kite (1931)

This stalled again. We may have to use 27 and 28 from a calendar, and there's the famous two number 29s on Spike's Tigers in "The Pigskin Palooka." I have a good 30 in mind that's not related to football or calendars or clocks. Let's see if someone comes up with the same.

The 30 I had in mind was the number of cents Mickey Daniels, er … Jubilo Jr., needed to borrow from his mother to get enough money to buy her a hat for her birthday.
The way this is going maybe for any number from 31 to 39 now. I have a good one for 37.

I declare this thread finished. The 37 I had in mind was the number of cents the gang owed to Butch's loan shark business in "Dog Daze," and after that there was the 44 cents that Spanky was entrusted with in "Anniversary Trouble."
