They said the Dems were the party of "Rum, Romanism and Rebellion," but this was bleeped and voiced over, first as "oh you nathty man," but eventually as "Ich bin ein Berliner." Is it at all possible that the voice of Chubby singing "Asleep In The Deep" in "Little Daddy" might in fact have been... DUBBED??

Of course not. That's just how Chubby sounds in the morning before he does that binding thing so he can pass for a ten year old.
How did the boyhood meeting of Pete the Pup during the dog's promotional tour influence Fred Rogers when creating MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD?

Though it initially enthralled the young Rogers, in some obscure way it eventually caused the Martin/Lewis-like split between Rogers and Ernie Coombs, who ventured to the frozen North and became the Mr. Rogers of Canada, there, eh?...albeit with something called a "tickle trunk."
Why does the DSM-V not have diagnostic categories for such serious and disabling psychiatric disorders as "the peddlin' craze," and "plain pixelated"?

They're both grouped under Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
What're YOU lookin' at?

My spanking-new copy of BUTCH: THE MAN AND THE MYTH.
In the wake of "Bargain Day," why didn't California legislators try to pass a Truth In Doorknob-Sales Act?

They did try. It died when the Republican-controlled Senate refused to pass it, worrying it would damage their ability to promote their candidates.
Would you ever invite the Rascals over for Thanksgiving dinner?

All except Brisbane, because he doesn't want to be president, and might call people at the table "punk blacksmiths" (a noted NY band of the early 80s, btw).
What would John Wesley himself have thought of Petey (like Stymie) being a Methodist, obviously as opposed to being a vegetarian.

He would have questioned whether or not Petey had a soul.
Does Petey have a soul? And does he at least have soul?

Dogs are magical creatures; they all have souls. Not for nothing is "dog" "God" spelled backwards ("God" is "bog" in Polish). Atheists have second thoughts when they stare into the beseeching eyes of a loving woofie. Did Rascals fans naturally progress to the Hardy Boys books, then to MAD Magazine and National Lamthingy, or does that progression simply date me too much?

You shouldn't date progressions. You should date actual people.
Which one of the Hardy Boys would Darla date?

LOL. But of course it would be JOE, who was younger, blonder and more impetuous than his older brother Frank, who was dark-haired, older and less impetuous, all as explored in The Mystery Of The Less Impetuous Brother.
Was there something particularly hard to remember in the line, "hey you flatfoot... call yer shots", such that the skinny fidget actually stuttered and almost blew the line?

Well, it is kinda bizarre. What does that even MEAN?

I always assumed it was poolhall jargon... calling your shot as in, "10-ball in the side pocket," that sort of thing. But it could just be fidget-speak for "goo-gah-ga."
WHY in God's name did the Rascals' filmic show audience purport to want the "Flory Dory?" What possible appeal would that have had to little kids?

Well, once the Flory-Dory Girls did their act, they could go home. Those benches weren't at all comfortable.
Bigger question: How could the Gang afford costumes, sets, props, sheet music, instruments, etc, if all they were charging was a penny a head?

The gang followed the custom of their forebears in "Every Man for Himself" by taking "equipment" when nobody was looking. They then kept the admission pennies as profit.
[ For the Hardy boy Darla would date, assuming the timestream could be modified so they were the same age, I thought the obvious answer was Oliver. ]
"Saturday Morning," "Sunday Calm," "Saturday's Lesson," … how come no weekdays ever appeared in the "Our Gang" titles?
