Eddie Egan certainly did, but he mostly thought about whether a suspect had *picked his feet in Poughkeepsie* (no mention of Miss Crabtree). Hercule Poirot may have, but he's Belgian, and fake to boot. Did Pete The Pup actually expound (or at least bark) on the doctrines of John Wesley and the Methodists? (Did he like potluck suppers?) Expound on their doctrines? Pete wouldn't even expound on their heinies, or have anything to do with pounds, ex or otherwise, regardless of any potluck involved!
What's the big deal about "Small Talk" anyhow?

The talk was so small no one could HEAR any of it. But it's a good strategy if anyone wants to invade Finland. They'll fight off the entire Red Army, but subject them to small talk and they throw in the towel.
WAS there in fact a pirate named Brute Larson?

Yep, and she's currently playing Captain Marvel in the movies. I don't know why the pirate thing didn't work out.
How shall we celebrate Mr. Hood's birthday this year?

Give him a potto, a lemur and/or a slow loris, and have Eleanor Roosevelt ride in on a tricycle, blowing on a kazoo, to explain to him who Flash Tarzan and Gordon Person are.
Have any scholarly papers been written about the magnifying properties of fishbowls, and, if so, what is their general thrust?

There have been several papers in leading medical journals and the general thrust is usually forward and to the left.
What happened to the Gang's fire engine after they won the race?

Ironically, it caught on fire.
Luckily no one was on it when that happened.
Aside from Spanky, how did the cake in BIRTHDAY BLUES (and TEN YEARS OLD) not make anyone sick?

LOL, in those ancient days, suspenders and hairbrushes were thought to be excellent guarantors of food cleanliness. But IIRC, Spanky *did* say "all it gave me was a bellyache." (Prolly typhoid fever, as would have been explored in the abandoned short, "Bacilli Is Bacilli.")
Was it a comedown when you discovered that your grandmother couldn't run really fast, go vaulting headlong out of windows, and didn't own any "gold bonds" of the Imperial Steel Company?

Yeah, but to be fair, plenty of Gold Bond probably figured into the daily regimen, but I'm running the risk of putting my foot in it with that footnote!
What are Divots, and what did the gang dig with them?

Either a mathematical function (probably the number under the line in a fraction). In law, at least down here, you can file an affiDivot in support of a motion, and I suspect it may even be so among members of *The Law Society Of Upper Canada," which sound very Monty Python, but it is not made up at all.
Before we had all this nonsense about Alpha males and Beta males, did we have Alfalfa males and... Waldo males?

Yes, and believe it or not, even some Darla males.
Which television show would the Little Rascals best fit into?

Has anyone here ever seen the Rascals in a foreign language? (Canadian doesn't count!)

Yes, and they write their 'S's backward in them, too.
What's the deal with that, anyway?

Card games have nothing to do with it!
Why another fat kid in that animation with Spanky? Who is he supposed to be?

Believe it or not, Miss Crabtree. The June Marlowe estate wanted a nice chunk of change for her appearance so the producers altered it significantly.
Why weren’t the Our Gang kids in the STAN & OLLIE movie?

Mickey Daniels had put them in refrom school, and they'd just given out *brand-new sledgehammers.* (Mush might well have been available, too).
What was up with all the footlights gags in the umpteen Rascals shorts involving kiddie talent shows?
