If The Neverending Story wasn't enough to convince you that reading was a good idea perhaps this will do the trick...

Silverchair with their debut single Tomorrow, back in 1994 when they were still just a bunch of talented 15 year olds who admired Nirvana.

If there is one current young artist that I follow the progress of it would be Beamer Wigley from British Columbia, Canada. I hadn't checked his You Tube Channel for awhile, but I did recently and like this recent performance...
Cruisin' for a Bruisin'
And I always liked this older clip...
Poor Johnny One Note
Beamer is a cool name for a singer.

From the same boys who brought you 'Sam the Pajama Boy' and 'The Beautiful Colors of Reading' here's a rendition of Wannabe by The Spice Girls!

Poor Johnny One Note Beamer is a cool name for a singer. Beamer Wigley has an unusually expressive voice, perfect for stage performance. He would fit in quite well with the cast of a musical, perhaps in the title role of Oliver!, which contains some challenging vocal sections.

Beamer is a cool kid with a very strong and unique voice, as well as great stage presence and confidence. He prefers playing guitar and singing country/rock, but he is good at whatever he tries. I like this original song....
It's Hockey Time!
And here is something similar to Poor Johnny One Note...
Neat to be a Newsboy
And back to what he loves to do best, sing and play guitar....
Eye of the Tiger
I've been following his videos for about a year and a half. I'm not sure what his exact birthday is, but I'm pretty sure he's currently 10 years old.

The Neat to be a Newsboy number immediately reminded me of the music in Newsies, which turns out to be an interesting connection. Alan Menken wrote the songs for Newsies, and renowned Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz wrote Neat to be a Newsboy and the rest of the music in Working. Some of their most successful work came as a team, creating the memorable songs in the Disney animated films Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Beamer Wigley is an intriguing onstage presence, and has the most noticeable raw vocal ability I've heard in some time. I, too, will have to subscribe to him on Youtube!

I'm glad you like him. He has tons of videos on his YouTube channel, his own website, Facebook, Twitter etc... He is well worth supporting. He definitely has raw talent that he continues to develop. Here is an encore from when he was eight years old... Earlier in this thread (page 7) I posted one of my favorite original songs by him, "Ain't Nothing that a Beer Can't Fix". That song really made me a fan. Anyone who wants to visit his website, here it is... Beamer Wigley

Back in the time of the Rascals young Junior Coghlan took time out from acting in movies to play a game of baseball with his mates.

I tried to find Beamer's Facebook page, but wasn't able to locate one that seemed right. Might you be able to provide a link to his official Facebook page, if you know how to find it?

The best place to follow Beamer's music is on his YouTube channel. They post new videos on a fairly regular basis and keep fans informed. Beamer himself sometimes responds to comments. He's also fairly active on Twitter, so that's another good source of information. I know his career is starting to take off and he's getting more and more busy, traveling around and performing. And that means more new videos as time goes on. His official website is a good starting point. It has all kinds of videos, audio clips, news, and links to his social media sites. He's also on ReverbNation which has mostly the same videos and information. As far as Facebook goes, his official one doesn't look very active probably due to lack of time for it... Official Beamer FacebookAnd I also found this one, which has more content but hasn't been updated for while. I'm not sure who runs it... Beamer Wigley MusicYour best bet is his YouTube channel, Twitter, and his official website. If you google his name you'll find informative articles like this... Beamer Wigley Singer, Songwriter, Exciting Performer

Beamer Wigley Music The Beamer Wigley Music Page does look more like a regular Facebook fan page, even though it doesn't seem to have been updated for about the last three months. I'll check out his website, then, which I'm sure will have more information. Thanks for the links. Do you know if he's ever recorded an album of his music for release?
