In "School's Out", I think I found out when I was about 40, no earlier, just what book Bonedust had gotten the goofy answers from. The cut to the book cover ("Minstrel and Blackface Joke Book") was chopped as far back as I can remember. Of course, the effect was lost when the book cover wasn't shown; it could've been "Leaves Of Grass" or a Millard Fillmore biog for all we knew.

For me, it was my late 30s, when I picked up the six existing Cabin Fever DVD volumes at our local North Bay Wal-Mart in 2001, that I first saw the above and many other previously edited 'Our Gang' shorts, including the unseen THE KID FROM BORNEO. It wasn't until around 2012 that I finally had my first viewing of their first two sound shorts, SMALL TALK and RAILROADIN', upon ordering the reissued RHI/Vivendi DVD volumes through Amazon Canada.

Yes, I too had never seen Railroadin'... not that I missed much, but it was nice to take it in nonetheless. "North Bay," as in... Ontario? I speak fluent Canadian.

Just moved back down to London last August after living in the Near North / Muskoka for 26 years, with nearly 25 of that in NB. It's proved to be really good timing in that the Bay has been getting record snowfall this winter!
Welcome to the Forum, by the way! CHEERS!

I should have figured the Canaditude from the use of the telling term "CHEERS," there, eh? Dunno if you root for the Loafs, but I am an Islanders fan.... 'nuff said. I didn't go last night, though I did go to the Cowgary mess the other night. My son is at Washington/Isles tonight. I go back to the (pre-Islanders NHL) days of Eddie Giacomin, a good Sudbury lad. One day I'll get up there to see The Nickel, and, mind, that is one nickel that Jimmy did NOT have.
