I noticed some time ago that an actor named Jack Davis appears in a handful of episodes of The Honeymooners, each time playing a different character. According to IMDB, this actor is the same as the Jackie Davis from the first couple of years of the Roach Pathé Our Gang silents.
I've heard about Harold Lloyd taking Jackie Davis out of show business after marrying Jackie's sister, Mildred, but I'm not sure how much acting Jackie may have done in later years. By the time that The Honeymooners was being made, Jackie Davis probably would have been about forty years old. I also know that both the first name "Jack" and surname "Davis" are fairly common, and it's not unprecedented for IMDB listings to accidentally get credits confused between actors of the same name, especially if they were of roughly the same time period. Can anyone tell me if Jackie Davis actually appeared in The Honeymooners?

It's possible. But, like you said, Jack Davis is a pretty common name.
On a similar note, does anybody know if Mary Ann Jackson really did do an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show"?

I watched the Dick Van d**e episode listed in that Jack Davis filmography, and the actor was a little kid. I'd be surprised if the Our Gang Jack was still working films as an adult, though it's not out of the realm of possibility. He certainly was acquainted with many celebrities, as a lot of them were his patients.

I'm thinking more and more that the IMDB listing in question is probably a hodgepodge of the resumes of at least two actors by that name. Unless Jackie Davis was somehow able to stave off adolescence until he was nearly fifty, I think it's safe to say that the character of Kenneth Kendall in the episode that you mention, The Talented Neighborhood, is played by someone else. :-) On a side note, whenever I think of that particular episode of the show, I remember it as the very beginning of the career of Barry Livingston. I know that at least some of what's credited on the Jack Davis profile page is correct in its orientation to the Jackie Davis of Our Gang renown, but it gets hard to tell in the later decades. Was he actually in episodes of McHale's Navy and I Dream of Jeannie? Did he really make an appearance in The Gnome-Mobile, and finish out his official acting career in 1990, two years before his death, by playing the part of a bailiff in the movie Side Out? The main thing I wonder is why these film roles wouldn't show up in any of the Jackie Davis mini bios that I've read online, if they have been correctly assigned to him. I just realized that I never included the link to the IMDB profile page that I've been using as a reference. Here it is, in case anyone would like to scan the credits attributed therein to Jackie Davis: www.imdb.com/name/nm0204733/

I would venture that that IMDb listing has at the least four different Jack Davises, and there are other entries for Jack/Jackie Davis that may or may not to correspond to some of them. It's a mess, for sure.
Mary Ann Jackson was not in an "Andy Griffith" ep, but character acterss Mary Jackson was.

I would venture that that IMDb listing has at the least four different Jack Davises I'm thinking that you're probably right. Given the lack of any commonly known mention of a later reprisal of his acting career, I think it can be tentatively assumed that any roles credited to Jackie Davis decades after his halcyon days with Our Gang were probably not actually connected to him. In that case, the Jack Davis from The Honeymooners would likely be a different actor, and the Jack Davis from the previously mentioned episode The Talented Neighborhood would for sure be a different one. Would the Jack Davis in the 1990 movie, which was the last role attributed to Jackie Davis under this IMDb profile, be a different player, as well? I would guess in the affirmative, though I can't say for sure, and if all that is correct then it would leave us with at least four different actors whose screen credits are all blended into this one "Jack Davis" profile page. As it stands, I don't know how anyone would go about trying to untangle the many knotted strands that have converged to form this challenging yarn ball. It sounds like a job for Ben Mankiewicz.
