Anybody have a favorite comedian or comic? Or maybe even a group of comics? My favorites are mostly older comedains (particuarly comedy teams).
Laurel and Hardy Charlie Chaplin Charley Chase Wheeler and Woolsey The Three Stooges (all six of them) Harold Lloyd Harry Langdon W.C. Fields The Bowery Boys The Marx Brothers Buster Keaton Fatty Arbukle Abbott and Costello Martin and Lewis

You left out Our Gang! Okay, maybe they're not technically comedians. I'm afraid my list is going to repeat a lot of the items on yours:
Laurel & Hardy Harold Lloyd Charlie Chaplin Harry Langdon Charley Chase Marx Brothers W. C. Fields Roscoe Arbuckle Curly Howard (without him, I wouldn't bother with the Stooges) Gleason & Carney (& Meadows) Ernie Kovacs Carroll O'Connor & Jean Stapleton virtually everybody on The Daily Show Jerry Seinfeld George Carlin (or least before he became old and surly) Richard Pryor Tim Conway

Well, I've always liked the unique style of Lucille Ball. When it comes to physical comedy, Red Skelton is one whose skills I greatly admire. From the Gang, I would say that few can compete with the comedic powers of George McFarland, or with Carl Switzer's ability to communicate humor through facial expression.
Then there's the legendary Mel Blanc...

Although I enjoy watching Our Gang shorts, and also some other vintage shorts, I'm not really a fan of comedy as such and I don't have a favourite comedian. I did like the quirky and surreal humor in kids TV series such as Round The Twist, in which illogical ideas were taken to their logical conclusions.

In that case, you might like a PBS series called ODD SQUAD. Check it out if you're so inclined; you can find episodes online.

I just watched an episode with two stories on YouTube and yes, I do like it. It's sort of like a kid's version of Torchwood but taken to illogical extremes. By a strange coincidence part of the plot of the episode of Odd Squad that I watched also mirrored part of the plot of one of my favourite Round The Twist episodes. Anyway, thanks for alerting me to Odd Squad, I'll definitely watch more episodes of it.

Mostly silent and "classic era" (pre-1960s) comedians. I'll also admit to liking the works of Seth MacFarlane.
