Hoping somebody out there who knows alot about the Little Rascals can help us locate an episode.
Our grandmother was in an episode of the LR as an extra when she was a little girl. She died before we ever got to meet her, and our mother has always said she would love to see the episode her mother is in. We have watched many episodes, but there are so many! We had hoped to find this and give it to her as a gift.
We suspect that the episode she was in would have been made between 1934-38'- she was born in 1931. She had a speaking role, and we believe that she says the phrase: " I'm as hungry as a bear." This is all based on passed down information, so we might have some of the info wrong. And, the scene might have been cut and never aired - but we hope not.
If anyone remembers an episode with a little girl saying a line like this, if you could let us know which one, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm not sure if I'll be much help but I'll give it a try.
???Can you possibly tell me which episodes you've checked? ???Are you able to give some sort of description of what she looked like?
I can't think of any episodes that has that specific line but I'll pay closer attention when I watch the episodes between 1934 and 1938!

Thanks alot, MD --
She would have been between 3-7 years old (we are pretty sure) - had dark hair and dark eyes. She kind of looked like Darla at that age (but was not Darla).
We have watched these episodes so far (these go from 1934-40):
Hi Neighbor Shrimps for a Day Bear Facts The Kid from Borneo Beginners Luck Sprucin Up Little Papa Waldo's Last Stand
We know this is not much, but we just started getting the DVD's, etc. to research this. We appreciate any help you can give us!
thanks, JC/SC

Thanks for your post - No, unfortunately she passed away years ago, and no surviving members of the family remember.

Hi - I am so sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner!!! What I did was keep track of any little girls (mainly ones that appeared as extra schoolkids) with dark hair and that looked similar to Darla, speaking and non-speaking roles (in case she still appeared in the short with her line omitted). Here is a list with potential shorts with similar-looking girls in them but in most you'll have to look closely at the extra schoolkids: "Fish Hooky" "Two Too Young" "Framing Youth" "Arbor Day" "Rushin' Ballet" (don't remember if they are dark-haired girls in this one) I've only had a chance to go through part of my collection - will keep you updated when I am able to get through the rest - if you still need help finding your grandmother. Hope this may help you!

We are still looking and this really helps us alot to narrow down our search. Thank you for taking the time to go through your collection and figure out which ones might be more promising. thank you!! J&S
