Hi all, I am currently trying to complete my collection of silent Our Gang films. I have all 21 Cabin Fever videos and a few duplicates (these I would be willing to trade.) I also have the entire Grapevine series and a number of the old Blackhawk videos as well. I am still missing three silents (not counting the 12 that are not on video or are considered lost. The rest I either have, or will probably get when the much anticipated the Laughsmith set is released. The films are: 1. The Spanking Age (I saw it once at a Laurel and Hardy tent meeting when it was first "found" in 1991) 2. Jubilo Jr. (I almost had this but the guy on e-bay took my money and never sent the video) 3. It's a Bear (I May be able to get this) Most of you are probably farther along on your collections to benefit from anything I have to trade, but I will gladly trade whatever I have to whoever is interested. I am also a record collector and have almost 5,000 records (most from the Our Gang era) that I would be happy to duplicate from the original 78s as a trade. Let me know, All my Best, Matt

:)Hello Matt34, By now you have probably located the three episodes of "Our Gang" which you were looking for. If not I might can help you. I have the 3 episodes you named. In fact I have 2 versions each of "It's A Bear" and "The Spanking Age" An excellent version of "It's A Bear" may be obtained from reelclassicdvd.com. If you would leave me a message, perhaps we could come up with a way for me to make you a DVD-R which would contain "The Spanking Age", "Jubilo, Jr.", and the previous version of "It's A Bear" Best Wishes' jaallengip

Thank you, I appreciate that!! Yes, I did finally find copies of those films. Now, I am only missing the "lost" films and the ones never released on video (The Cobbler, Sunday Calm, Your Own Back Yard, Telling Whoppers, Ten Years Old, and Bring Home the Turkey). I am considering purchasing "The Smile Wins" which is only available in 16mm, but I'm not sure I want to pay $180 for a film I do not have the equipment to watch.
Thanks Again, Matt

Unfortunately, the only way to get the silents that HAVE been released on home video is on bootleg DVDs. That's where I managed to get most of my copies of silents, including It's A Bear and The Spanking Age. I also have a DVD with Jubilo Jr. on it, but I don't think it's considered a bootleg copy. But I could be wrong. As for some of the unavailable shorts, The Cobbler, Your Own Back Yard, and The Smile Wins are all on the list of films that Laughsmith MIGHT use for their upcoming set.

The Cobbler and Ten Years Old were both part of the Mischief Makers package.

The Cobbler and Ten Years Old were both part of the Mischief Makers package. Yes, they were, and probably several other of the films that were never released on home video were on there too. But it's kind of hard to find out that accurate information.

You can't even get "The Smile Wins" on 16mm now! That was the French version which wasn't complete anyway even though it had excellent picture quality. Hopefully Laughsmith will include it in their boxset. If they do, it will be a complete version. Some of the subtitles have still got to be finalised. Only about a third of the original ones are known. The other ones have had to be translated from Dutch and French to sound like they are original. Any viewers will be told which ones are original or translated.

Hi,
My name is jay and I am looking for a complete collection or almost complete collection of The Little Rascals. All I have is the Cabin Fever tapes and a few from the 40s.
I wouldn't mind purchasing them from you. What I do have if you are interested are complete Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy and Abbott and Costello (movies on VHS tapes and shows on DVD).
Take care.

Hi Matt,
How much would you charge for what you have of the Little Rascals on DVD. What I have to trade though is complete Laurel and Hardy, complete Three Stooges (both on DVD) and complete Abbott and Costello (shows on DVD and movies on VHS).
Thanks

Hi, did any of you finally complete the collection of silents? Is there anyone here I could get DVD-Rs off please? I'll be willing to pay. I can't do trades as I don't own any DVDs of Our Gang. I've just been watching them on YouTube.
