I've gotten a few videos from comapnies that don't seem to have normally released any other Our Gang product.
Our Gang's Greatest Hits (from Video Dimensions) Includes: Lodge Night Big Business The Buccaneers Shivering Spooks School's Out Bear Shooters
Our Gang Classics (from Jef Films) Includes: The Champeen! Mary, Queen of Tots Uncle Tom's Uncle

They're all public domain shorts. Any company can put them out. And isn't Big Business a Laurel and Hardy short?

Yes they are public domain shorts, and yes, Big Business is the title of a Laurel and Hardy short, and also the title of an Our Gang short.

I didn't realize "Bear Shooters" and "School's Out" were on that Video Dimensions release. Is that the one they put out in 1981, or were there later incarnations? Also, is that the version of "The Buccaneers" with the original opening titles? I've got a HenryButch tape which copied the first three titles, but the picture quality isn't so hot. I'm assuming the original probably looks better. Which versions of "Shivering Spooks" and the 3 Jef films silents were used?

I assume you want this information for your website? I'd be happy to give it to you.
It probably is the 1981 version, but I didn't see a date anywhere. The Buccaneers does have the original titles, but I think it's missing one or two small parts from the film. Shivering Spooks has that Those Lovable Scallawags opening, but the rest of the film is like Goodtimes Home Video's copy. School's Out is of very poor quality. It has the opening with the Crane twins, but right when they say the name of the film, the film freezes, and the words "Our Gang in School's Out" show up, then the film procedes.
Bear Shooters opens with a freeze framed shot of Jackie Cooper and Chubby taken from this film. The music played during the opening is actually the Those Lovable Scallawgs music. There is some footage missing from the beginning.
The Jef Films video was released in 1987. All three of the films are in more of a brownish color, making the picture quality look better on the films, particularly "The Champeen!" This is the same as the Grapevine prints, but the opening title has a Jef Films copyright at the bottom of the screen. In fact, the other two films do as well.
Mary, Queen of Tots has an opening title that is clearly not original (for one thing it's not in black-and-white). This copy seems to be the same as the Grapevine copy, but the music is replaced with more 1980's music, which doesn't really fit in with a silent film in my opinion.
Uncle Tom's Uncle also has the 1980's type of music on it. This copy is from Exclusive Movie Studios, Inc., which if I'm not mistaken is also on one of Video Yesteryear's tapes.

Excellent! Thanks very much for the info. The reason I was thinking of 1981 is that, on the HenryButch tape, after going through "Lodge Night," "Big Business" and "The Buccaneers," there's an onscreen copyright with the year and the company name. He didn't bother to include the remaining films, though.

My mistake. The Jef Fims release for their Our Gang video was actually 1997. No wonder it looked more recent.

Thanks for posting those videos. Has anyone here ever been able to find the Rare Original Silent Episodes that Cabin Fever had available from a TV offer only? I still have that commercial on tape from 1997.

Thanks for posting those videos. Has anyone here ever been able to find the Rare Original Silent Episodes that Cabin Fever had available from a TV offer only? I still have that commercial on tape from 1997. All I know about that tape is that it features three of the four silent shorts CF previously released in their 21 volume set (I believe "Derby Day" was the one left out). Here's Jackie Lynn Taylor's old "Little Rascals Family Theater" set. Does anyone know if Jackie released more of these? I seem to recall her old website saying that she had four volumes in all. By the time I found the site, only these two were available. BTW, I must say I enjoyed her tribute to Stymie Beard. Another note, the fragment from "War Feathers" features a brief clip (Scooter Lowry pushing a hole into the ham sticker on his mouth) that is missing from most prints. www.dailymotion.com/video/x2s7qkf_little-rascals-family-theater-jackie-lynn-taylor_funwww.dailymotion.com/video/x2s7u03_little-rascals-family-theater-silent-years-jackie-lynn-taylor_fun
