Post-1933 or thereabouts, the logo of the NRA (FDR's National Recovery Act, not the gun group) appeared alongside the opening titles in Rascals films (see. e.g., Mike Fright).
The NRA, however was soon declared unconstitutional in the (in)famous Schechter Poultry case.
For the longest time as a kid, I could not figure out what the heck the bird logo was doing there. Now, of course, it's a fairly innaresting historical sidelight.
(The Nine Old Men, sad to say, never passed on the Constitutional bona fides of the He-Man Woman-Haters Club. But of course *No State Action* in that matter...)
