Does anybody know the history of the "Mischief Makers" syndicator? Was it the same as National Telefilm Associates or an unrelated outfit?

I haven't been able to find any information on National Telepix outside of the years 1960 and 1961. Jack Saunders was largely involved with the company, and was behind at least three series - "Mischef Makers", "Comedy Capers" (which featured assorted Roach and Sennett silents), and "Wally Western" (which featured old westerns). I'm fairly certain Telepix wasn't related to Telefilm Associates. "Mischief Makers" debuted in 1960, and "Comedy Capers" the following year as a direct spin-off. Some stations continued to run MM well into the 1970's. It seems that Sonar (the same company that owns the rights to the majority of the Hal Roach library) currently owns 72 MM episodes and 92 CC episodes. That's all I could dig up. The New Yorker has a 1961 article on National Telepix, including an interview with Jack Saunders. You have to subscribe to read it. www.newyorker.com/search/query?keyword=Our%20Gang%2034
