It... Wasn't really lemonade. 'Gulp.' Why did Waldo have a completely different personality in this short? It was in the script, plus Waldo was no longer his usual cheery self after having endured so many rejections by fickle Darla! Now, why did Spanky go and recruit all of the neighborhood kids to do the show, and where were the adults, anyway?

Building fire engines to race against each other.
Why does Spanky's solution always involve putting on a show?

It was the early 40's and he'd watched a LOT of Mickey Rooney-Judy Garland movies growing up.
But where does Spanky find such great musicians?

They saw him as a young Paul Whiteman! Speaking of Mickey and Judy, why didn't they ever appear in the MGM 'Our Gang' shorts?

Judy had a REALLY good agent and Mickey still held a grudge.
Come to think of it, why didn't MGM buy the Mickey McGuire series instead?

They did, but they recast Hambone with Judy Garland and Billy Barty with Sidney Miller. Or it might have been the other way around.
Where can I find Our Gang bloopers and outtakes?

DICK CLARK'S FOUL-UPs, BLEEPS AND BLUNDERS. Unfortunately, this was before television so the ratings were incredibly low.
What makes him so black?

When Jack Davis was replaced, Ed McMahon was the announcer for the suggested line, "Heeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre's Johnny - Downs!"
What would have become of the gang if they had been locked up as the bandits in "War Feathers" intended?

What would have become of the gang if they had been locked up as the bandits in "War Feathers" intended? As a forerunner of the later MGM morality plays, some adults would have randomly appeared, telling the gang that "playing" Cowboys and Indians is not a game (Huh?), and that they should partake in extracurricular activities responsibly! (Say wha?) Why didn't the gang really travel in SEEING THE WORLD (1927)?

They couldn't get their visas approved. Something about 'undesirables...'
What do the prisoners in reform school do for Christmas?

They couldn't get their visas approved. Something about 'undesirables...' What do the prisoners in reform school do for Christmas? Try and reform the He-Men Woman Haters Club. However, it always falls apart when some smart aleck reminds them there's no need for this club since there's no women around, anyway! What do the prisoners at the female reform school do for Christmas?

Everybody gets a brand new sledge-hammer! And they use them to break through the walls and escape!
What was the deal with that odd little hat Spanky always wore?

Everybody gets a brand new sledge-hammer! And they use them to break through the walls and escape! What was the deal with that odd little hat Spanky always wore? It served as a precursor to most of Spanky's wardrobe eventually being too small for him! I believe that his fantasy sequence for UNEXPECTED RICHES (1942) would have consisted of Spanky receiving a brand new, tailor made wardrobe, complete with inappropriate dialog about his tight fitting clothing. No wonder it wasn't used! What was with Alfalfa's whitewalls haircut in the later MGM'rs, anyway?

Military school, remember?
Which begs the question, what in the world was ALFLAFA doing in military school?
