That one's probably Stymie in 'Big Ears.'
Pretending that's right, lemme toss one in the ring...
"When I grow up, I'm never gonna get married! An' I'll bring my children up the same way!"

I kinda think it kinda sounds like it's kinda from "Ask Grandma." Kinda. I kinda thought that we were kinda supposed to kinda identify the speaker of these quotes for those who kinda don't know everything about the series. I kinda think that kinda sounds kinda like Mickey Daniels. "When I grow up, I'm never gonna get married! An' I'll bring my children up the same way!" That would be Farina in "School's Out." "I can't die now, my mother is calling me!"

Well, I kinda wrote that at 1:00/2:00 in the kinda morning, and I kinda forgot the rules since we kinda haven't played in a while, so would you be kinda 'nuff to forgive me? "I can't die now, my mother is calling me!" J-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-e!!! (in "Uncle Tom's Uncle"). "It's a buzz saw! And it's headed straight for our necks!"

After that poignant explanation, I kinda have to forgive you. Alfalfa, to fellow sleuths numbers 6 and 6 1/2, aka Porky and Buckwheat, in "Hide and Shriek." "Look sad - I'm gonna take close-ups!"

It's been a month, so maybe this thread should end. I attempted to give a clue by mentioning the film in a question from the "Wrong Answer" thread. Anyway, it was Jack Davis in "Dogs of War!"

I knew where the quote came from, but I wanted to give someone else a chance to answer. I guess I forgot we only have about four or five active members these days.
Let's see if this can get the game going...
"Onions!"

Darla, PAY AS YOU EXIT. "This is gettin' monopolous!" Actually, I was thinking of Buckwheat. But you still got it right. Stymie in FOR PETE'S SAKE! "I can't spell that. I'll give you a bad cold."

From the infamous "Barefoot Darla" scene in the 1982 episode "Cap'n Spanky's Showboat" from the animated series, after Alfalfa fell into a hammock which twirled around with him, and made the floor that Darla and Buckwheat just finished cleaning dirty again:
Spanky: Are you okay, pal? Alfalfa: Yeah... what happened? Darla: I'll tell you what happened! You threw dirt out all over my nice clean deck! Alfalfa: Gosh... I'm sorry, Darla... Darla: "Sorry" doesn't scrub the deck, but you will! Get to work! Alfalfa: Oh... a man's work is never done!
Emphasis on "my nice clean deck": Darla doesn't own the deck - Captain Smokey does.

In this thread one was supposed to provide the source of one quote and then provide a new one. It stalled after nobody got "I bet you hadda study hard to be president..." for more than a year.
